Mont Cenis Lake

RGoing up the Moncenisio state road, after the last hairpin bend, on beautiful sunny days, your heart will suddenly open up in front of the panorama of the lake! An expanse of water as far as the eye can see, with a thousand flashes and an intense turquoise. Lake Mont Cenis, which extends along the pass of the same name, dividing Italy from France, at 2000 meters above sea level, almost seems like a small "sea". Once you arrive at the hill in the main square characterized by the presence of a pyramid church, go in search of the ancient submerged hospice, the military forts or of the nnumerous mountain pastures selling typical cheeses of the area up to the Piccolo Moncenisio refuge from which numerous treks depart.
