TURIN

Savoy bastion par excellence, former capital of the Kingdom of Italy, Turin is a lively and elegant city, always on the move, surrounded by greenery, with over 300 km of tree-lined avenues and countless parks. It owes much of its charm to its history and enchanting geographical position at the foot of the Western Alps. Ancient cradle of the Risorgimento, city of culture, art, sport, industry and good food, the Piedmontese capital is certainly one of those destinations that a tourist cannot miss. Rich in hidden treasures, crossed by French echoes, Turin can be visited at any time of the year by discovering its historical monuments, museums, art galleries, exhibition halls, particular architecture, squares, parks, suggestive corners and historic cafés .

How to get to Turin

From Bussoleno to get to the center of Turin it takes about an hour by car depending on traffic. However, parking in Turin can be complicated, especially if you want to leave your car in the central areas where there is a restricted traffic zone. However, there are several paid car parks near the centre. Our advice is to arrive in Turin by train which takes you right to the center in 40/50 minutes. Trains leave from Bussoleno station every hour. Consult the Trenitalia website or inquire directly at the train station.

La reggia di venaria

The Royal Palace of Venaria Reale is certainly one of the largest and most important Savoy residences in Europe; It has been part of the UNESCO world heritage site since 1997. The complex, of which the palace is part, is approximately 80,000 m2 large,  including the park and the historic village of Venaria. Since 2007, after eight years of restoration, the splendid gardens of the Reggia di Venaria complex have become the flagship of this magnificent building. The route that connects the various areas, i.e. the immense avenues, ornaments and gardens, is approximately 2 km long and is truly an unmissable route. After visiting the interiors of the Royal Palace of Venaria, and after stopping in particular at the magnificent Diana Gallery, the advice is to take a walk in the lush gardens. It is possible to do it by climbing on a romantic horse-drawn carriage, on foot or admire them from another perspective by taking a boat ride in the lake. The little ones also have access to a little train that runs through the most beautiful corners and places of the Royal Palace of Venaria park.
