The main activity for which Val di Susa is popular in winter is certainly alpine skiing, together with ski mountaineering and snowshoeing. Here you will find some of the most famous ski areas in Piedmont such as Sestriere and Bardonecchia, where the Winter Olympics were held in 2006, as well as hundreds of itineraries for ski mountaineering and snowshoeing.
ALPINE SKIING
Bardonecchia
A skiing paradise, Bardonecchia offers winter sports lovers 100 km of slopes, 23 ski lifts, a snow park, the Olympic half pipe, a cross-country track and an ice skating rink. In summer Bardonecchia turns into the ideal place for downhill, MTB, Ebike and trekking.
Sestriere - Via Lattea
The "Via Lattea" area offers approximately 400 km of slopes with numerous ski lifts that connect the ski resorts of Sestriere, Cesana Torinese, San Sicario, Claviere.

With over 150 itineraries varying in difficulty, difference in altitude and length, Val di Susa is a perfect destination for both expert and beginner ski mountaineers, as well as snowshoe enthusiasts.
